Dr. Khun Eng Kuah is professor of Anthropology and Chinese Diaspora Studies at the School of International Studies and Academy of Overseas Chinese Studies, Jinan University (Guangzhou, China). Her CSCD activities are geographically focused on Australia, Malaysia, China, Singapore, Southeast and East Asia.
Dr. Kuah was Professor of Anthropology and Head of the School of Arts and Social Sciences, Monash University Malaysia, Associate Professor at the University of Hong Kong and lecturer at University of Melbourne.
She also held visiting positions at Harvard-Yenching Institute, Harvard University, University of Paris Diderot (France), Oxford University (UK) and Nanyang Technological University (Singapore).
She has published numerous single authored and co-authored books, International Journal Articles in different languages and one of her recent work titled: Social Cultural Engineering and the Singapore State was recently published by Springer.
Additionally she has focused on Chinese women and their social and cyber-capital and social movements and Politics and Philanthropy in Southeast and East Asia.
