Dr. Vic Klabbers is managing director of The Network University (TNU) of which he was one of the co-founders in 1999. His CSCD activities are geographically focused on East Africa, India, Russian and Eastern Europe.

TNU, which originated in the University of Amsterdam, offers a platform for researchers, students and professionals from diverse backgrounds, to develop and participate in research, online learning and debate, and international exchange through various projects.

His main research activities mostly take place in the context of social transformation and include amongst others topics Conflict Transformation, Gender Mainstreaming, the use of Remittances for Community Development, Entrepreneurship Training, and Governance and Empowerment.

Dr. Klabber has worked in international partnerships which included governmental and intergovernmental institutions, non-governmental organizations and private sector actors (mainly SME’s), in activities such as developing educational projects and courses, evaluation projects and advice trajectories on new approaches that can change people’s lives (people, planet, profit). His work mainly takes place in projects in East Africa, India and Eastern Europe.
