Dr. Henrik Hansson is Professor at Stockholm University, Department of Computer and Systems Sciences. His CSCD activities are geographically focused on Sweden, the Nordic Countries, the EU, the Middle East, Africa and North America.
He has been the main Swedish coordinator and researcher on several international projects and has extensive global experience from scientific, commercial, innovative, social and developmental projects, where the focal point has been development of means and technological tools to enhance intercultural, sustainable and developmental relations between nations. Among those, extensive EU-projects on e-learning, -participation and -skills.
Dr. Hansson has further secured several projects funded by SIDA, including; ‘Rwanda – Capacity building in higher education’, ‘ICT and Pedagogical Development – Advanced International Training Program’, and ‘Inter-American Development Bank project – Uruguay one-laptop per child’.
He is the founder of the ICT4iid Research Group and of SciMind AB, (providing The Global Idea Bank, matching of universities, businesses and public sector for triple benefits, and SciPro – Thesis management system for universities worldwide). Dr. Hansson is also an EDEN-fellow since 2007 and has received the Recognition of Professional Excellence by The European Distance and E-Learning Network.
