Dr. Martin Geiger is Associate Professor of Politics of Migration & Mobility at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. His CSCD activities are geographically focused on Canada, Germany, Russia and China.

Dr. Geiger regularly advises members of the foreign diplomatic community in Canada and is a Member of the Canadian Migration Experts Group at Immigration, Citizenship and Refugees Canada, where he advises the Canadian government on its negotiations on the UN Global Compacts on migration issues.

He specializes in talent migration, policies and management, private and international organizations, and the links between migration, development and governance.

Dr. Geiger is further affiliated with the Institute of Migration Research and Intercultural Studies in Osnabrueck, Germany, and as advisor with the Center for China and Globalization in Beijing, China.
